Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a common behavioral disorder that affects about both school-age children, as well as adults. Symptoms can include impulsive behaviours, hyperactivity, and difficulties with concentration.

Children who present with symptoms of ADHD often have difficulties paying attention or concentrating, they struggle to follow directions and/or rules, and can become easily bored or frustrated with tasks. Sometimes it is difficult to distinguish between what is "normal", age-appropriate behaviour and behaviours of ADHD in a child, therefore it is important to speak with a professional if you have concerns.

Some common symptoms of ADHD presented in adults may include: difficulties with time management, organizational skills, goal setting, and employment. Adults may also have problems with relationships, self-esteem, and develop substance use problems co-morbidly to their symptoms of ADHD.
